I am a husband, father of three, and a documentary photographer based in Arizona.
I use my camera as a way to make sense of things that I don't always know how to put into words.
A lot of what I photograph is everyday life, the quiet and messy parts that aren't perfect. I get to see my childhood reflected through my children. photography allows me to delve into the psyche while experiencing different cultures, families, and even strangers.
In those day to day moments, there is suffering, but there's also a lot of beauty. I'm drawn to that tension, how something can look one way on the surface but feel completely different underneath.
It feels similar to music, just another way to tell a story.
Mine just uses fewer words.
